How Often Should You Groom Your Dog?
Short-haired breeds typically need grooming every 6โ8 weeks, while long-haired breeds may need it every 4 weeks. Between professional sessions, regular brushing prevents matting and detects skin issues early.
Brushing Tips by Breed
Use a slicker brush for Poodles and Spaniels, a rubber grooming mitt for Labradors, and a wide-tooth comb for double-coated breeds like Huskies. Always brush in the direction of hair growth.
Safe Bathing at Home
Use lukewarm water and a pet-safe shampoo โ never human shampoo, which disrupts the dog's skin pH. Rinse thoroughly to prevent irritation, and dry completely to avoid fungal infections in Indonesia's humid climate.
Ear and Nail Care
Check your dog's ears weekly for redness or odor โ signs of infection. Nails should be trimmed every 3โ4 weeks. If you're not confident, our groomers are happy to help.
